Speak Easy 21

For those who prefer this ghoulish occasion a tad bit more refined, try the Speak Easy 21 Halloween Party. This classy joint quickly shot to the top of my list of trendy cocktail lounges due its chic and tasteful atmosphere as well as its scrumptious eats. This Friday, Speak Easy will not stray from these descriptors. It will remain a classy domain offering an open bar, candy buffet, Bourbon Black Jack and a cash prize for best costume.  The party begins at 9:30 for $100 a ticket. http://www.speakeasy21.com/

Sound Academy

Sound Academy hosts its 5th Annual Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Halloween Party. Who would miss a chance to kick it 90's style and get old school especially on such an eve as this?  The Running Man, The Carlton.... Count me in! The Steam Whistle Brewery

Titled 'The Legendary Halloween Bash' for a reason, you'll be uttering "Wait for it" at the midpoint of the word 'Legendary', Barney Stinson style. Reason being, you'll be in the company of the stellar sounds of DJs Field McQueen and Nino Brown over a two night span (Friday and Saturday),  have access to a brewery-style creeptastic haunted house all for $33 a ticket starting at 9 pm Friday and all of this awesomeness will be housed in the legendary, in its own right, Steam Whistle Brewery which is one of my most favourite sipping and socializing spots in the city. http://www.steamwhistle.ca/events/eventdetail.php?id=1631

Palais Royale

Did someone say Zombie Prom? No need to glam up for this promenade. Get grotesque and if you need some assistance in achieving that spectacularly gory look, no fear! The makeup masters of all living dead will make you gruesome FREE of charge and will also snap a pic of you for your memory wall of horrors past. Throw in a little DJ Johnny B. Goode, brainy appetizers and giveaways all for $30 a ticket and you have one hell of a time. http://www.palaisroyale.ca/
